On November 2, 2010 one of the three sanctuary buildings of the Mount Olive Church was moved from its original site to downtown Kennard.  This being the oldest building on the site was built in the 1950's.

Isa 58:12 And they that shall be of thee shall build the old waste places: thou shalt raise up the foundations of many generations; and thou shalt be called, The repairer of the breach, The restorer of paths to dwell in.

These verses were read by Larry Bruce, pastor of the Mount Olive Church in Houston County, Texas.  The occasion was a short dedication service.  Larry read the scripture and then voiced a pray.  The pray was followed by another prayer by Jerry Wright.  Witnesses included Margaret Wright and the mountain dulcimer class.
